About Claire
MY YOGA PATH
My yoga journey began in the 1980s during my university years in Bath (UK), when I first encountered Hatha Yoga – a gentle introduction that touched something deep within me.
Later, yoga returned to my life in new forms: Sivananda in New York, Iyengar in England – each encounter a step further along the path.

The true turning point came in the 1990s, when I attended my first Ashtanga Vinyasa class with Bruno Dietziker in Switzerland.
This powerful, flowing practice moved me on every level – body, mind, and soul. I knew instantly: this is my yoga. From that moment on, Ashtanga became an essential part of my life.
With the heartfelt wish to share this transformative path, I began teaching small groups in my home. I supported Bruno at Yoga Works, gained early teaching experience at Airyoga, and slowly grew into my role as a teacher – step by step, breath by breath.

Today, I pour my heart into leading YogaTopia in Herrliberg – a warm, welcoming space where people come together to practice, grow, and reconnect with themselves and each other.
It brings me great joy to be part of the Yogaveda Luzern training team, where I guide aspiring teachers through the 200h and 300h yoga teacher trainings with depth and devotion.
Before that, I spent over fifteen enriching years with Airyoga Zurich, active in the Teacher Training Team – a formative time that profoundly deepened my understanding of yoga, teaching, and lifelong learning.

Experience
MY EDUCATION
In 2005, I successfully completed the International Teacher Training under the professional guidance of Clive Radda, Glenn Ceresoli and Lance Schuler in Zurich.
This was followed in 2012 by the 300-hour International Advanced Teacher Training at AIRYOGA Zurich.
Since then, I have continued my education - both at home and abroad - by attending workshops and seminars by renowned international yoga teachers such as Shiva Rea, Dharma Mittra, Anna Forrest, David Swenson, Dr. Martina Bley and others. A particular highlight for me was the workshop with Sri K. Pattabhi Jois in London in 2000 - a moment of deep inspiration that has stayed with me to this day.

I completed my training as a hypnotherapist in September 2015.
In March 2021, I also successfully completed my further training as a yoga therapist with the Swiss Yoga Association.

In January 2024, I completed my two-year training in meditation - a path that led me deep into silence.
I am currently devoting myself to the study of Sanskrit, the sacred language, under the inspiring guidance of Dr. Ralph Steinmann.

I am deeply grateful for all the inspiring teachers - formal and informal - who have accompanied and shaped me on my yoga path. My most important teachers include Glenn Ceresoli, Lance Schuler, Bruno Dietziker and more recently Dr. Ralph Steinmann and Dr. Ravi Ravindra.
My greatest teachers in daily life, however, are my students and my family. Without them, my understanding of the yoga path would not have been able to develop to this depth.
From the bottom of my heart: a huge thank you.
