Awaken your Power – A Yoga Retreat at Sutra House
Come and join me in the beautiful Sutra House in Riehen near Basel, to reawaken your physical and mental strength, to revitalize and take time for yourself.
Zeit & Ort / Date & place
10 Nov 2022, 14:00 – 13 Nov 2022, 12:00
Sutra House, Rütiring 36, 4125 Riehen, Schweiz
We will begin the day in silence and move gradually into breath consciousness (pranayama). These moments of peacefulness and stillness will support you in your endeavour to connect to your inner essence.
After a short tea break we will enjoy a two hour dynamic asana practice - be ready for some powerful flows.
The yoga sessions in the late afternoon will be of a more restorative nature, commencing with connection to sound through mantra and then moving into a yin/restorative class.
During the breaks between the Yoga sessions you are free to enjoy some time to either just relax, read a good book, walk in the woods nearby, have a sauna, steam bath or massage.
To participate in this yoga weekend, a regular yoga practice of at least two years is recommended.
Claire teaches in German.
The Sutra House
The Sutra House in Riehen above Basel in Switzerland has been designed by the Basel architect Nicolas Hünerwadel in close collaboration with AIRYOGA teacher Stephen Thomas and opened beginning 2020. A sanctuary for contemplation and connection, the space consists of an old, converted part and a modern new building elegantly connected to it. Eight individually designed rooms and one suite of 50m2 offer space for up to 20 guests.
The spacious yoga room on the ground floor, the sky-lit meditation room under the high roof with large open views to the east and west for sunrise and sunset as well as the gathering/salon room with fireplace form the core zones of the house. You can also relax in the quiet garden, on the terrace or in the cosy library or enjoy the private outdoor pool, the sauna, steam bath or a massage. For a walk in the green, the forest is just a few minutes away.
The Sutra House is a heart- and soulful piece of architecture, a unique place that will make your stay a lasting experience.
